Highland Clans- The Clan Campbell Video series 1-3
The highlands and islands of Scotland have been shaped by centuries of clan history. They have a past overflowing with countless tales of bloodshed, bravery, rivalry and revenge. Paul Murton in 2007 did a series called
" Highland Clans " the Clan Campbell being one of them. There are three 10 minutes videos from the series on Clan Campbell below that you can watch. I must note that Paul Murton’s ancestry is that of a MacGregor. The Campbell’s and MacGregor’s were not friendly, in fact it was one of the bloodiest and one of the longest running feuds that existed in Scotland. When watching the three videos, Paul Murton’s bias against the Campbell’s is obvious, however, the series in informative and very interesting.

This video starts off with the following statement-
"Clan Campbell universally loathed in the Highlands
and a by word for trechery and ruthless ambition".
Video 2
Starts off with the beginnings of the Campbell’s of Cawdor onto the Protestant revolution ending with the battle with the McDonalds at Inverlochy.
Video 3
Begins with the conclusion of the massacre at Inverlochy, then onto the Campbell revenge at Dunavertry. A special part of Video 3 is a sit down interview with Alastair Campbell of Airds. Paul Murton pressed at Alastair on the killings and the fact that it wasn’t very Christian; Alastair responded twice with "so what" . The video concludes with the execution of the Marquess of Argyll in May of 1661.
